Given the prestige Edwin Vinke (1967) enjoys internationally, it’s hard to imagine all the years of hard work that preceded his success. But willpower is something Edwin, who’s been the patron cuisinier of De Kromme Watergang in Slijkplaat, Zeeland since 1993, has never been in short supply of. Nor of love for his birthplace. This, combined with his ambition to cook as purely and self-sufficiently as possible, has led to a unique signature. And, while his second Michelin star in 2011 was certainly celebrated, the festivities came nowhere near that of the 25th anniversary of De Kromme Watergang last year.
