Jarno Eggen DE GROENE LANTAARN
Following stints at a wide range of Michelin-starred kitchens, Jarno Eggen (1978) became the patron cuisinier of De Groene Lantaarn in Zuidwolde in 2010. Within a year, he received his first Michelin star and became the highest listed new entry in the renowned Dutch restaurant guide Lekker. After being inaugurated as a member of the Dutch SVH Master Chefs Guild and receiving his second Michelin star in 2015, Jarno’s status as Drenthe’s culinary ambassador was firmly established. But, according to Gault Millau’s Chef of the Year 2018, it’s a standing that’ll not be affected by the restaurant’s recent move to Staphorst.
